Social Media: The Art of Planning

It is time to start planning your social media posts for the holiday season! The holidays can be the busiest time of the year for most businesses. For this reason, it’s imperative to have a plan of action so that you or a trusted member of your team can simply hit “publish” on social media posts. The more you plan the better your content will be, which will ultimately lead to more business for you!

  1. A content calendar is key to having social media success this holiday season. Make sure you have marked key dates like: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, etc. You don’t want to miss a social media post during one of these major holiday events!

  2. Be sure to have content ready for each social media outlet. Oftentimes a post you’ve created for Instagram won’t look exactly how you’d like it to if you share it directly to Facebook. You will be better off creating separate posts for each media outlet.

  3. Plan end of year recap. At the end of the year, make sure that you plan a recap of your company’s accomplishments. This will allow your followers to and celebrate another successful year of business with you.
